Throughout the year we invite a variety of visitors into school to work with the children

Celebrating British Values

Councillor Kate Cook visited as part of our British Values celebrations.  She talked to the children about her election and her role in the local community.  The children shared their roles on our School Council and took part in a debate.

Road Safety

Gist logistics visited Osbournby as part of their National Child Road Safety Programme.  The drivers brought their cab into the playground and talked to the children about road safety around large vehicles.  The visit included practical demonstrations about stopping distances and blind spots and the children even had the opportunity to explore the inside of the cab and get a chance to see first hand, the view from the driver's seat.

Guide Dogs

A Guide Dog visited our assembly to tell us about the important work they do in helping the blind and partially sighted to enjoy a full life.  We learnt how much training is needed to be a Guide Dog and how much this costs.
